:doh: "A Colorado man has received an apology from his city’s leadership after he was handcuffed and detained by police in front of his 6-year-old daughter for playing tee-ball in an empty park.

According to KDVR, a father named Matt Mooney was confronted Sunday by three police officers in Brighton, about 25 miles north of Denver, for apparently violating the state’s social distancing guidelines during the coronavirus pandemic.

Former Brighton City Councilman Kirby Wallin witnessed the incident and recorded it.

“I find it hard to believe with all the things going on in our communities, the only way to resolve a situation like this was to handcuff a father in front of his daughter,” Wallin told KDVR.

Brighton police informed Mooney he was in a violation of the state’s lockdown orders. However, KDVR noted a sign at the park stated it was closed, but that groups of four people or less could still enjoy its amenities.

Mooney, his daughter and his wife were a party of three, so there shouldn’t have been an issue, as far as I can tell.

“She’s like, ‘Daddy, I don’t want you to get arrested.’ At this point I’m thinking, ‘There’s no way they’re going to arrest me, this is insane.’ I’m telling her, ‘Don’t worry, Daddy’s not going to get arrested. I’ve done nothing wrong. Don’t worry about it,’ and then they arrest me,” Mooney told KDVR."


"He also complained that the officers in the encounter were not following the very guidelines they were attempting to enforce.

“During the contact, none of the officers had masks on, none of them had gloves on, and they’re in my face handcuffing me, they’re touching me,” he told KDVR."

Trump is NOT RE-ELECTED, and this were to happen again without him being in office,... my hypothetical answer is, the father would be in jail without due process, per Demonscat consistent power grabbing MO's, his child would still be in a cage at child services, per Demonscat power control MO's, and a left wing o'bammy appointed judge would be postponing his hearing for a couple of years, while he is held without bond!

The only thing that crawled out of the cave with man is fear. It has been with us for all of recorded history. While it is a very useful emotional response in certain circumstances, it is also our worst enemy. From you posts I can see you fear Democrats cause they'll take you guns. But your blind to the fact that Republicans are in reality just as bad. The NFA is closed because of Reagan. Imports of "non sporting" guns come from Bush Sr. While Bush Jr allowed the evil feature ban to expire, he also banned buildable part kits. And if, God forbid, you ever need to use a firearm against an agent of the government, it will be law and order Republicans that call for your head the loudest.

You're also ignoring all the other human rights you have that are equally as important that Republicans are terrible at defending or actively try and strip away. And their foreign policy absolutely sucks. We're almost 20 years into a war on a tactic that's bleeding the country dry.

In short, I see your fear of one thing as a guiding reason to ignore all the other clear and present dangers. We are armed people, living in a police state, and willing to ignore the tyrants as long as we're left alone.
