Police in Boulder, Colorado said late Monday afternoon there is an active shooter at the King Scoopers grocery store in the area.

Police alerted the public on Twitter at 2:49 p.m. local time and are asking the community to avoid the area.

A judge struck down Boulder, Colorado's ban on the possession of AR-15s and magazines holding more than 10 rounds on Monday.

Colorado state judge Andrew Hartman ruled the city's gun ban violated the state's preemption law, which prevents localities from imposing gun regulations above and beyond state law. Judge Hartman's ruling declares the ordinance invalid and immediately bars the city from enforcing the ban.

But then read something about him having a braced AR pistol. Seems to be a conflict. Sure he could quickly swap out the stock but install a short barrel? I doubt it. Or does Ruger possibly sell a AR pistol?

Ruger sells an AR556 pistol. Don't know if that's what the jihadist used, but Ruger does make one.
