Several armed looters cut the lock off the gate to his lot, smashed in the back door and entered the shop at 4am. Owner lit them up from the stairwell to his 2nd floor apartment.

The amount of lives that will be forever affected by the current situation is truly tragic.

That having been said, 110% good shoot.

Nice!

I don't like to see people getting killed out there, but this sends a strong message to anyone thinking about looting. Initial riots and looting should have been confronted hard and fast to break their spirit, but they've become so emboldened that I think a lot of other people are going to have to die like this before it's over.

I wonder if the surveillance video from the store will be released, could be telling.

The mayor and police commissioner are "deeply disturbed" by the death of that poor young man. It was not self-defense, you see; it was "vigilantism" -- people taking the law into their own hands.

During a news conference Tuesday afternoon, Mayor Jim Kenney and Police Commissioner Danielle Outlaw said that while they respect the rights of business owners to protect their property, they were disturbed to hear that a business owner shot and killed a potential burglar.

“We do not endorse or condone any form of vigilante justice or taking the law into one’s own hands,” Outlaw said.

I wonder if they would have been as "deeply disturbed" if the looters had killed the store owner. I am going to go out on a limb and guess not.

Holy crap this is out of control. Vigilante justice? They BROKE INTO HIS BUSINESS AND HOUSE! Sometimes I wonder if we are too far gone. That’s some heavy indoctrination for that to be their first thought.

IMO a little vigilante justice will go a long way sending its message- more so than catch and release has so far...

Phuk me....this is DURING a time of looting and riots, AND they used bolt cutters to cut his locked fence AND forced entry into his business and residence, AND were armed themselves?!?

Their response confounds me. WTF is wrong with those in authority?

Obviously they have their city SO under control that local Law Enforcement could have intervened and rescued this poor store owner before he was harmed and his store robbed...

Bingo. They outnumbered the owner, they forced entry, AND they were armed. What TF was he supposed to do otherwise?

I hope I never have to take a life, but you better believe I would have engaged just as he did.

Maybe, MAYBE, this is just posturing to prevent a flareup in their AO, but I feel they’re being honest with their views here. It’s a sad, sad day when violent criminals have more rights than citizens as viewed from the eyes of the LOCAL EFFING LAW ENFORCEMENT. It’s almost like the cops are working to protect the criminals in some places!!

"..would be burglars." WTF? They already broke in.

Fitting name for the shit brained lefty Police Commish too considering the stance on looter's actions.

Phuck the virtue signaling POS Mayor and Police Commish with the dead looters engorged mummified cock.

Well the actions of the politicos and their pundents against the attempt of the leos to control this bullshiat is atrocious, it seems the REST of America has no rights to protect their hard earned work from others.
gotta say, glad i don't own a biz in the area, the count would be much greater, absolutely no reason to allow the wanton destruction and violence over this bullshiat. and excuse for them to do so, might be time to visit replacing these idiots, and get back to real time America

I had a chuckle earlier this week when my wife said the rioters were targeting the neighborhoods around Arrowhead mall after the Scottsdale stores were broke into.
Seems to me a smart rioter/looter will run into more dangerous resistance in a neighborhood than a closed store.
Of course nothing happened. Just a blowhard talking internet crap.
Nice shooting by the shop owner by the way!

I guess he was just supposed to have held the guy down on the floor with his knee on his neck until the cops got there ?.... oh wait...
