Been living in Tucson for 21 years now, just turned 60, recovering from back surgery.

I usually shoot in the desert, normally Rosemont Junction. Go alone 99% of the time.

Starting to have a doubt or two about the lone wolf mentality, seeing as that sometimes it ain't so easy getting back up when I fall , not to mention a host of other creeping maladies that I've accumulated from my misspent youth.

Try to avoid the ranges, one because I love the desert (Its why I moved here) and two because they want me to wear a diaper over my mouth in order not to contaminate and infect the other participants.

I would love to join a senior shooting club is such an animal exists, or maybe just like-minded individuals that have a tactical mindset but a decidedly un-tactical body.

Not retired yet, so its mostly weekends for now, though short term disability means for the next week, at least, trying not to fall down during desert shooting activities. That could end badly, but, I love shooting.

There used to be a bunch of old guys that met at a great spot in Green Valley, but its shut down now.

Just thought I'd throw that out there. Probably come up empty, but you never know unless you ask.

Oh, yeah. I have my own ammo and steel targets, if that means anything.

Well here's the thing Brian. I shoot with 2 different groups of old farts, twice a week. If things were different I might invite you to shoot with us.

But I wouldn't shoot with you because I can't trust you and that would be true of all the others I shoot with also.

I'm sorry to say that, but you brought it on yourself.

Thats really weird. As far as I know, I've never done anything to incur distrust among anyone.

Maybe you care to send me a private message and tell me how this came about? I am genuinely curious.

No, I'll say it up front. You demand a bill of sale or copy down a person's particulars in gun sales.

There's only one possible use for that info and that's to drop a dime on people to curry favor with the authorities.

Sorry, but that's the way it is.

WOW. I mean double WOW.

When I sell a gun, I copy down the buyer's name and phone number. The only reason I do that, is that if one of the guns I sell is used in a crime, and I get a call from law enforcement, I can tell them who I sold it to.

I was thinking that was just a good idea. I never thought anyone would object.

Why is that so bad? In 30 years, I've never had a phone call.

What is the general consensus? Is copying name and number a bad idea or not?

I never thought it would incur so much venom.

I feel that as the seller you have the RIGHT to ask for and record basic info .
As a buyer someone has a RIGHT to not want to engage and look elsewhere.
To harbor a grudge or denounce someone over their decision on how they sell their gun is unfathomable to me . If you don't like it , walk on.
I have been thinking about selling a unneeded AR and if I offer it here I will record info .
I will probably sell it elsewhere due to too much whining of this ilk here.
I live 60 miles from the border and believe it or not there are nefarious AR purchases attempted all the time. . My name is on it and yes I would relate info to authorities if the gun ended up doing bad things.
STRAIGHT UP ,,,,,If I sell it and that person wantonly flips it they are on their own.
I have dealt with many on this site by checking ID and a hand shake but most of my guns have zero gangster appeal. Some guns demand a little more responsibility .

I have bought from both Brian, and Al and have never had an issue with either.

Did I mind him taking my number? Not particularly, but I have nothing to hide, either. Half this board has my phone number, the only issue that I have is Al sending me dick pics in the middle of the night.

Thanks so much for that.

Honestly, I just thought I was doing "the right thing". Never dreamed I was starting a shitstorm.

I'd send a dick pic, but at my age, sometimes I can't even find the darn thing.

lol...after all of Al's drunken naked pics, I think I am scarred enough...(just kidding Al, love ya like a fat kid loves cake)

I have always had the highest respect for Brian10x. On this board and the old AZS site. He has always been a very respectful member on both sites. Always had great prices on his shooters he puts up for sale.

I have never met him or had any discussions with him on any threads.

Who the hell cares, Flashhole, if you would go shooting with him or not???? Nobody but you, dude.
You can have your reasons, but you need to Shut The Fu/ck Up and keep them to yourself.
Everybody knows your an old, cranky, limp dick, miserable, bitter, and judgemental flashhole. Always have been, always will be. Remeber that thread you started on the cashier at the grocery store??? It defines who you really are. You're a bully. Among other things...

Now go call someone to change your Depends....

You should be more concerned about the old, cranky, limp dick, miserable, bitter, and judgemental douche on here from Michigan who openly stated he takes photographs of license plates of buyers from this board(and the old one) who buys his items.
Had I known this, I would've wrapped the rifle I bought around the back of his head.

No shortage of people like you on here.

LOL
You should be embarrassed

The senior group that use to shoot out south of Green Valley now meet up around 0700 most Sunday mornings in Rio Rico. The group is around 5-7 guys. There is a makeshift range on FS land at MP 5 Ruby Road where everyone shoots.

Figured I would help the elderly with some larger font.
