You can still shoot. You just have to go to one of the indoor places with A/C and you're GTG. A little ballistic therapy is definitely indicated.

Indoor??...A/C??

Out here in 29 Palms (117 on my back porch right now) my friend and I go shooting every Sat (year round) and have done so for many years. In the summer it is usually high 80s when we get to outdoor range (0700) and upper 90s when we finish up (around 0900/1000) and head for breakfast. Though longer sessions see it over 100 by the time we stop.

My place in AZ is at 6400' so shooting in the heat is much less an issue.

I hear you. I shoot Sporting Clays every week and it's about the same temps as you describe.

I always find the SHTF and head North threads interesting. Being a country boy originally from NH I understand the OP's mindset. However, we will be sheltering in place and sorting out what comes. The only scenario that might require relocation would be a radiation issue be it from Palo Verde Nuke or North Korea. That said I'd still rather be within a structure than a car stuck on the highway if there is a radiation event. Just look at the traffic headed North on a Friday, no thanks can't imagine a full scale evacuation. I dislike most people and that's why we live on a few acres on a County island North of Phoenix proper. Be prepared with food, water and power and see what happens at home. The residents up North will be sorting out the same chit up there as we are down here.
