To me it didn't look like they were with him.
It looked to me like he just basically ran over them trying to get away.
Then used them for cover.

Just another day in the rotten apple. Its just more news coverage now and more cameras.

years ago my wife decided she wanted to get her motorcycle license. Being an intelligent man I decided she should go to a school rather than me teaching her. Found a school in Astoria, liked the instructor.

It was group classes held on a somewhat quiet street a couple miles away. He asked if I could ride one of the bikes over for the class and he took another. Maybe 8 students.

About the third class my wife is on the bike and doing pretty well and two black guys go running down the block one of them holding a little like dopp bag. A small hand held purse kind of thing.

These little bags were popular back then and the dealers used to use them to stow the money from sales since the revenue would be much more than would fit in a wallet.

These guys were flying, I mean Olympic like running speed.

Having grown up in the stink I knew someone would be coming behind them. They weren't out for exercise and my mind thought immediately .. they just stole the revenue bag.

Car comes screeching around the corner and stops. I grab my wife and pull her off the bike as she was riding by. Bike goes crash, she falls to the floor and I lay on top of her.

Most of the students were still just lounging about chatting and then looked over when they heard the bike hit the floor. Two guys jump out of the car just to one side of the group about 15 yds to one side and just let off what seemed like a barrage of bullets directly over our heads at the two guys who are now at very least 100 yds and gaining from where we were standing. These guys had zero chance of hitting them on their very best day.

They looked at us with their empty guns turned and got back in the car and left. We are there .. ears ringing and a bit scraped up.

Needless to say .. that day my wife lost her interest in Motorcycle license. The instructor was this kind of effeminate greek guy and he melted down. Probably a recent immigrant new to hood culture. Astoria is kind of cool and hip but the place we drove to to do the lessons was just outside a housing project.

I rode the one bike back and then had the wife drive me back to the spot to pick up the other bike because I felt bad for the instructor who was shell shocked from one little shooting. I really thought the second bike would be gone by the time I got back.

Bike was there but you know what wasn't .. not a single cop. Guys pop off some 20 rounds at 10am on a Saturday and no one even calls the police.

Oh well .. I wish it was the first or last time bullets were sent at or around me .. shit happens. You should hear what it sound like when someone lets off a bunch of rounds in a small lobby!

Happy to be out of NY!! Let no one challenge my loyalty to the 2A and peoples right to protect themselves.

Now I go to the river and swim with the horses watching me. Who would have thunk it.
