Nikon is getting out of the scope business.
It makes you wonder how they will handle their lifetime warranty on scopes.

That’s too bad. I like their scopes and have used them on everything from .22 to .338 Win.

Watch for some good sales on Nikon scopes as dealers sell off their inventory.

They where a good scope at a fair price for hunting or target rifles. My Nikon's where nice scopes for the money.

I have had a few of their scopes over the years.
I still have a couple.
I have used them in some pretty rugged conditions and have never had a reason to complain.
They did make good scopes.

Good idea 😎

Then again they might say " You can't get these anymore. The are collectables now. " ( enter sarcasm meme here ).

Well this sucks. I use a Monarch on my hunting rifle and love it, wondering about the lifetime warranty too.

I didn't know that... I have one sitting on a 22 mag. Has anyone had a warranty issue yet? I'm anxious to know how it went down.

I have always had good luck with their scopes, and they were always reasonably priced.

Vortex seems to have really dominated that section of the market, I bet that had alot to do with them shutting down.

I got a gun in trade awhile back that had a Nikon scope on it.
The scope wouldn't track.
I sent it to Nikon and they completely refurbished it.
They did a good job and I got it back within a month of sending it out.

I really liked their scopes. The BDC scopes work well and they have a great progam/app where you can put in your ammo choice, pick your zero and get a graphic with where the distances compare to the reticle points. I have one on my Mossberg MVP in .223 and just put one on my sons Ruger American in 7.62x39.

I never cared for them or there service. It may be better now.

To me there is much better out there.

Crap!.. I didnt know about this either... I have atleast 5 of them.. Love the clarity... I broke a pair of 75.00 cheap binos yrs ago.. Sent them off to Colorado.... They sent me a pair of Steiner predators... 350.00 value... So i always stuck with them because of that

Nikon will be lucky to stay in business soon. Their overall business has been taking a huge beating for some time. The last quarter, they simply refused to release their earnings. That is not a good sign.

Last we saw their income reduced somewhere around 5000% year over year.

I like them, pro staff has survived the beatings on my FAL with no problems. 1k + rounds through it. Have the P223 on one of my AR's
