Wife and i just bought a small place in Oro Valley as a part time getaway from our house on the Big Island of Hawaii. I have been thinking of moving to the Prescott or Tucson area for some years now. We wanted a base to explore Arizona and be able to make a better decision on where to move permanently. Have relatives in both areas.
If you can imagine, the Big Island is as large as Connecticut and Rhode Island, but does not have a single shooting range. A couple of dirt patches in hunting areas, that is it. Can be fined for shooting there if not in blaze orange and have a hunting lic.
Joined the marines at 17 and learned to shoot there with the M-14. Been a firearm owner most constantly since then, over 50 years ago.
