Just wanted to post a casual observation I have made during these unusual events of the recent past.

I'm at the grocery store during the recent food panic and I'm waiting in an extremely long line at the checkout with people and carts full of food. The canned goods and pasta are wiped out and forget about paper products.

Everyone around me was in a generally decent metal state and relatively pleasant. The lady behind me let a guy go in front of her because he only had a few items and I thought there would be a riot. No one really cared or at least said anything. I sure didn't but not sure if I would have let him go in front of me in that situation as the line went to the back of the store.

I then realized that the American people are a lot stronger than most people give them credit for. I was overcome by the feeling that we are all in this together. Over the ensuing weeks I have witnessed the same thing numerous times with only a few snippy people.

I have made it a point to help others when I can and share what I have. Yes even shared my dwindling supply of toilet paper. Everyone is appreciative and people have shared what they have with others.

I guess what I'm saying is I have personally witnessed the greater common good in people and I am really proud of what we can do as a people. I still boycott the news but I am an observer of human nature and we are stronger for what has happened.

We will get through this with our human decency and we will be alright.

It’s sad that It takes something of this magnitude for some people to realize we’re all on this big planet together, like it or not, little shot of reality does the soul good!

I also have noticed much kindness and goodwill lately. (Except for Pelosi. That bitch is kuhrazy.)

Our life savings just got hammered, and our income is about to go way down. And my wife says "You know, there are a lot of people hurting worse than us. Let's send a check to Paz de Cristo."

Most people (not just my wife) are good and decent.

Personally I think your correct that most people are the decent sort but when I start to really believe this then I run into the other sort with the "ME ONLY Persona".

We have helped out several (co-workers of my wife) The retired, fixed income widows and elderly no question about helping.. The clueless millennial's that can't take care of themselves.. that's another matter. They should use this as a learning experience but probably won't.

I had some hard times (nothing like this) in my life and it taught me that the only one that's going to take care of my family and I is myself.

I don't mind helping out but I'm not interested in providing for you and your family because you are to stupid to do it yourself.

You must take care of yourself first before you can take care of anyone else.

I was thinking about the millennials the other day as many people don't give them credit. Think about all the crap that has happened in their lifetime. Sure, there are crappy people of all generations, mostly more recent. But there are plenty of good people of that age also.

Another thing is alot of that generation don't have the solid family ties of earlier generations. Plus we all know there are lots of crappy parents out there.
