I think they said it was equipment failure and it drifted into it. Not sure how long it took to drift that far. Looks like the tugboat was there before it hit to try to prevent it, but didn't help...

By looking at the video you can see that it's going backwards, from what I read the ship lost power and the incoming tide pushed it back into the bridge.

Thanks, I heard later that there was some type of equipment failure. We I went to watch it again after my initial post, I noticed that it appeared to be going backwards which I thought was odd.

I still haven't heard if they figured out what happened.
