What if someone holds a medical marijuana license but doesn't partake?

As an FFL, I would ask "why do you have a card if you don't partake?"

The normal reason for someone to have a card who does not partake is because they are a caretaker for someone who does. I.e. mom is using it to treat nausea from chemo, dad has epilepsy etc...

Don't you have to get a prescription from a doctor to get a medical marijuana card ?
I don't believe a Doctor can hand out prescriptions to people so they can buy prescriptions for other people.
The prescription has to be filled out in the name of the person using the drug.

Regardless, weather the lower or other guns the point is the issue is moot, i.e. there is no grey area like many make believe. It's illegal to own guns and MJ at the same time and ofcourse to lie on the form. Every state, unless one or two made recent changes, makes the two together a misconduct charge at the state level. Not to mention the same thing at the fed level plus the other lying issues.

I don't think there's ever been a grey area about having marijuana and guns. I think the grey area comes in when a) you have a mj card but don't use, or b) what exactly makes you an unlawful user. If you used marijuana 10 years ago? 5 years ago? Last year? Last month? Last week? Last night?

Having a sack of weed with your hi point is obviously illegal.

Not how it works in AZ. The "patient" can designate a caregiver. The caregiver fills out a different form with ADHS.

My Dr. keeps trying to give me a Marijuana card but I won't take it, If something happens and the feds show up I don't want to loose my hard earned gun collection. better safe than sorry. Drinking and driving ? In some states it doesn't have to be alcohol. it can be anything you are drinking while you're driving, even water.

Well you don't need a special license to drink and they don't ask when buying a gun , do you drink, so drinking is ok Drugs are bad.

this is acutally a bery interesting topic of discussion. Ive been planning to start a MJ growing business but i cant get into the dispensaries without a MJ card. But considering the "implication" of use i am wary to proceed, considering i care more about my 2a than MJ.
