Leaked Email: The ATF Is Planning On Seizing Items Starting Tomorrow

Good point. If someone owned a FRT, legally purchased, what would they be expecting? A polite letter from the AFT asking to destroy or turn them in? Would it then be wise for that person to claim to have sold the FRT at a local gun show for cash, and no longer in in possession of it?

What do you guys think the best course of action would be in this case?

Put it in a safe place no where near your domicile, tell the ATF to pound sand, and if they have a warrant, then let them search. They can't prove you still have possession of a legal item that is legal to sell, give away, throw away, or any number of things, and, it wouldn't be in your possession if it weren't there, so you're not lying.

Makes you wonder how our local police and sheriffs are going to handle this blatant incursion our most sacred rights. Will they just "do their job" as they were told??? HMMMMM.

Call me pessimistic but I expect this will go down much like the bump stock ban has, and there will likely be little recourse for current owners of contested devices.

Another scare tactic planted.

Are they illegal, no. They are still being sold.

In the video is says FFL and retailers. Not door to door.

I haven’t heard of anyone getting there stuff taken.

Question:
Is a Franklin Binary trigger the same thing as an FRT?

Its getting worse. A guy just got thrown in jail for selling a drawing on a piece of metal:

That was a year ago. So it got worse then and now it's getting even more worse.

The ATF just published a list of seized property including the autokeycard.com domain name. Some other stuff in here like silencers, rifles and "machine gun conversion kit" from other people. (edit: thought this link was for an auction but it's a notice of seized assets).

Latest news on this (that I could find,) is from April of last year:
https://www.jacksonville.com/story/news/courts/2021/04/15/no-crime-says-lawyer-clay-man-charged-mailing-machine-gun-parts/7220035002/

The story on the Jacksonville site says he was denied bail. Can't find any evidence he's been released so he may still be in jail awaiting trial. That sucks.

here's the petition to deny bail
