I connect to it instantly, without any malware warnings. I am hopeful that a cat like Reno would vet them a bit before taking their money....but.....

Right. Browsers won't check for that... you have to have anti-malware site scanners on your gateway or router for it to detect that. It's basically saying that the server that hosts that site has malware on it - not that the company is necessarily shady.
