It went very well for Kyle today. However, here is an interesting bit at the very end of the article.

But one new piece of evidence discussed at the hearing may prove to be instrumental for the state’s case against the 18-year-old. Near the end of the hearing, amidst a detailed back-and-forth discussion about who began the chase that turned deadly on the night in question, the government revealed they have a video from an “FBI” aircraft that shows Rittenhouse initiating hostilities against Joseph Rosenbaum. I wonder if the judge will admit the online posting by "Lefty" (the guy shot in the bicep) in which he regrets that he did not shoot Rittenhouse first. Or his prior criminal record.

And while the judge excluded the prison record of the first attacker, for child rape, I wonder if he will admit the video of the guy yelling "Shoot me, n___!" earlier in the day, as evidence that he was looking for a fight, and that it was he, not Rittenhouse, who initiated the confrontation.

Maybe the prosecution is doing poorly on purpose. They have so much invested in prosecuting this kid, not to mention the political pressure, and the evidence on its face is very much in Kyle's favor. It's a bit of a tinfoil hat theory, but maybe they are just putting on a show. They can't just drop the charges...that would really make them (the state) look like complete idiots. By going through the motions, they can at least try to blame the jury for the inevitable acquittal.

You might be right. Really, I think they get what they want whether he's guilty or not. If he gets locked away, it's a win for them. If he goes free and there's rioting, it's a win for them.
