I just picked up another Alien holster (since they were the only ones advertising that they had holsters for Canik TP9 SC Elite Pistols). So I ordered one but when holstering the gun, it wants to push against the RMS that is installed from the factory. So I was thinking about getting the old Dremel out and giving it a Trim Job (< 1/8" needs to be trimmed). Do I need to watch out so that the kydex doesn't melt ? I also assume Kydex is happy with some sand paper to smooth out the edges ?

Any Pro Tips would be appreciated.

Thanks

I use a sanding drum and slow speed to make adjustments to my kydex holsters and fine sand paper to smooth out the edge. Like you I have had to make small adjustments to fit my RMR on some holsters. Just do not run the tool to fast.

The Dremel worked without a problem. Kept it at the lowest speed and it worked. Can't even tell that it was cut. Both Gun + RMR work just fine now.
