That sucks, I recommend trying to take the new president's spot. Should able get to know your neighbor and gather the votes and make it easy peasy as it was beforehand.

Hope it goes well.
Sooooo, get the vote to be in charge to alter the rules? Kinda sounds familiar :naughty:

Change what rules? He's talking about having thing go back to how they were prior to the new president issuing edicts.
The rules that weren't followed with the previous Pres, but now he doesn't like that the new president actually follows the CCR's (rules) that the home owner agreed to follow.
Live and learn.

I didn't say alter the rules, just making it simple as it was before the new President.

Nobody likes to be micromanaged.

There's no simple "as it was". There are rules that the home owner agrees to follow when the home owner signed the CCR's.

Like it or not, it is reality.

You don't change the rules, you change the interpretation of the rules.

Don't you guys watch the antics of the ATF? :D

hahah, every few years the HOA whine comes up, i hate the organizations, while some can assist in keeping the quality of residence up, its the people ,not the organization that destroys the intent.
i deal with hoas, constantly on remodels, some are amazingly effective and others are tyrantical nut cases.

bummer, never lived in an HOA inviro., and never will, why give up your rights to your own residence. ....................bummer again

Yup, we signed our "rights" away including not able sue developer for shitty buildings, etc.. via group action lawsuit, but back to HOA, the previous administration was lax ... probably he/they are just mortal human beings just like myself ...
