I see many guns and gun related items for sale here, and elsewhere. Just some advice.

We don't care if you paid $$XX amount for your item/s. We want a bargain, and we'll lowball you relentlessly. Your item/s are only worth what the market will bear, and if someone can find it cheaper somewhere else, they will, or, a worthy substitute. When you put in your ad, "No lowballers", it's almost an incentive to do just that to annoy you  The same could be said for "firm price", only to watch it be lowered over the weeks or months.

We don't care if you take a loss of $$ on what you're selling, we just want a good deal. If you feel you cannot afford to lose money on your item/s, then you'll probably be keeping them longer, or not selling at all. The price you paid is what you were willing to pay for said item/s, it's on you to reconcile that others don't feel the same way.

We don't care if your stuff is the "high end", most of us are aware of where companies contract to make the parts, and much of the time, it's the same place that makes the less expensive stuff. Putting a different name on the lower doesn't change the fact that it was made by the same manufacturer as the cheaper brand. Milling out a forged lower is the same everywhere, or even milling a billet, the aluminum is the same. Paying for a Spike's or an Anderson, the only real difference is most likely, quality control. So, I can buy 4 of one for the same price I can get one of the other. I can afford to have one out of spec. and still have 3 functional and send the other back for a refund or exchange.

So, take this for what it's worth, it was free :D

Have a great, gun carryin', Kenpo day

And we don't care if you put down the exact price you paid for each and every item you've added to the firearm, in fact, it just makes us shake our heads.

When we read "many extras" and "custom" it makes us shake our heads and laugh a little.

You're up early Clyde.

:o  :laughing-rolling:

gonna be a whole lotta whiners on this one, go clyde, go clyde.

happy thursday to all

If I'm gonna pay near new price for a gun, I'm just gonna buy the same gun new.

On the other hand, I like the guys who say "CheapGunsRUs lists it for a lower price on their website."

Yeah, and their website also says "Out Of Stock." My price is even lower than theirs -- when I don't actually have the item.

What I dont understand is bitching about what others ask for their stuff. Dont like the price move on, they will figure it out when it doesn't sell if its over priced. I see this all the time on vehicles, someone asks 20k for a truck and gets hammered non stop about how its only worth 10k, most of which are trying to guilt trip the guy into lowering the price so they can snag a good deal.

Sometimes the seller is unaware of what the current market is or what they think it is. Sure maybe they are trying to take advantage but let them ask what they feel like asking and leave them alone. Either someone will buy it or they wont pretty simple.

Its worth what someone is willing to pay. If you don't like what i am asking for it don't buy it and move on. If you don't like that i am listing what comes with it, well i really don't understand that. Why wouldn't you want to know what you were getting for the money. If its priced at what a new gun costs and you would rather pay transfer fees, shipping, sales tax and sign a 4473 then go for it. Some people would bitch if they got hung with a new rope......

There are certainly more attempts at being opportunistic than there are deals these days. 90% of the time I just say "F that" and move along.

Anymore it seems every gun cobbled together in a garage is a custom and worth more than any factory gun.

Then of course you get the

" best gun I have ever had "
" the most accurate gun I have ever had "
" I just shot it this morning so it is a little dirty "
" it works flawlessly if you use the right ammo "
" many custom parts "
" tack driver , if you do your part "
" I hate to sell it "
" 2 pound target trigger. I polished it myself "
" I know guns and this one is the best I have ever shot "
" bubba job on such and such by previous owner " ( It's always the previous owner. )

and it goes on.

These are spot on.

If you don't like the price, don't buy it. Lately, it seems that someone will sooner or later, no matter the price...

As a guy who has sold a lot of guns here, I can relate. Yes, it is true, I really DO love all my guns, but I understand the market.

I may have put blood, sweat, and frustration into building the perfect gun "for me" but if the market is saturated (with AR15s for instance) I'm going to have to reduce my price to current market value, like it or not.

Maybe, you guys are getting a little excited, but, go back and read what I wrote. ADVICE, or did you not see that part???? This is just information, nothing more. Jesus Christo, you'd think somebody left a turd on your couch or something.

Seems like there are a lot of people on the board these days who are looking for a way to be offended.

hehehe i told u so. lol  :angry-banghead: :eusa-whistle: :laughing-rofl: :greetings-wavegreen: :greetings-clappingorange: :banana-dance: :confusion-confused:

A lot of fragile egos around these parts. I thought some people were adding to the conversation, but apparently, they were just pointing out turds. Who knew?
