Shooters!

Are you or do you have or know a teenager with some shooting experience who wants to join one of the strongest rifle teams in the US?

The sport of CMP/NRA-style High Power Rifle using the "service rifle" consists of shooting at 200, 300 and 600 yards from Standing, Sitting and Prone Positions, both slow fire and rapid fire. 98% of shooters use the AR-15, its simply the best target rifle ever invented for this sport! Adults and Juniors shoot matches at all three Phoenix area ranges (Avery, PRGC and Rio Salado) as well as Tucson. The season culminates each year with the teams heading Camp Perry Ohio for the National Trophy Matches (read the write up http://arizona-rifleshooting.com/AZteam-Perry2019.html )

The Arizona State Junior High Power Rifle Team, "The Scorpions", http://www.arizonajuniorhp.com/, will hold a new shooter orientation at Ben Avery, at Noon on Sat 9-Nov-19 on the 200 yard line of the High Power Range.

This is NOT a beginner class! This is for teenagers who already shoot and want to get involved with a great competition team! Experience on a .22 Rifle league would be great, skill with the AR-15 style rifle would be great, even non-NRA competition experience such as Practical or Clay target will give you a good background!

Interested attendees MUST pre-register, contact [email protected] for info!

You must contact the team coach [email protected] by this wednesday so he knows what to bring! All equipment will be provided.

In the morning before this junior orientation both the adult and junior team members will be practice on the 600 yard line if any of you show up early you can watch and learn. http://arizona-rifleshooting.com/ntit.html

The adult High Power team is also recruiting new shooters! Contact me, or come out to any scheduled high power shoot, if you are interested.

no, his son joined the AF (I think) Academy. I don't know if cecil shoots with the Tucson guys or not, but I have not seen him at any phoenix matches in years.
