I was laying bets (figuratively) 3 years ago that Israel was going to do this with Biden's blessing, and was surprised it didn't happen until now. But as someone in the know has explained to me, what really made this possible was the fall of Syria,...which freed up the airspace to make this much more likely to succeed in the manner Israel would prefer. And supposedly this has been planned since week one after Syrian airspace became available.

It's coming off good so far. No nukes for Iran. Israel will get targeted with retaliatory fire, usually ineffective. Be a nice time for an Iranian revolution. This could go on for days.

Historically, Iran had Israel surrounded - they funded Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Huthi's. Plus other hostiles in Syria. With all of Iran's attack dogs neutered, it was only a matter of time before Israel moved in to remove the fangs too.
