On one hand, I don't like weaponizing the IRS. That's what Obama did to the Tea Party groups. I'm guessing that the IRS did not initiate this, but rather somebody in the New York AG's office called a friend at the IRS (left over from the Obama administration), and said "Help me nail this MF."

On the other hand, he asked for it.

I am guessing that at the annual meeting in Tucson on 24 October, 70-year-old WLP will declare victory, and announce his retirement to ride off into the sunset with his golden parachute, leaving the smoking ruins of the NRA behind. "My work here is done."

Hope they nail him and some of his cronies to the wall and take action to recover any monies pilfered from NRA members.

Wayne should be smart enough to know to at least compensate ANY private flight by paying at least going air line rates for the flight. Any time I take friends somewhere I charge them the going commercial rate for their round trip.

But who knows with Wayne as some person in the industry who hates his guts may have arranged a few flights for him so they can get him out of the NRA.
