I'm currently watching the live stream of the House Judiciary Committee, where they are discussing the ATF's new rule concerning pistol braces.

I've lost count of how many times members (from both sides, to be fair) have made statements that are completely wrong or just outright lies.

If any of them spent just 1 hour talking to people who are knowledgeable in this area, maybe they could actually be helpful to their constituents.

I've also noticed one very interesting observation; Every member with a D in front of their name is making arguments completely based on feelings. Every member with an R, is making arguments based in logic and actual facts.

So it goes, regardless of the subject-matter in debate.

It would appear so. The quote I heard several times from several D members of the committe was "Republicans want more children to die". What a bullshit, slanderous, and childish arguement. The amendment on the docket had absolutely nothing to do with gun violience in any way. The committee simply wants to stop a .gov agency from creating/changing laws, that they have zero legal or Constitutional authority to do so. The D's has 2 years of complete governemental control...where were the legislative bills that addressed bump stocks? Pistol braces? Firearms in general? They didn't exist. It is very clear that the D's simply want to use the issue of gun violence as a cover for them to pass other woke policies/laws, that will have ZERO affect on real gun-related crime.

Last time I checked, MURDER is illegal in EVERY STATE. If a person is willing to break that rule of law, then NOTHING will stop them. There is a massive logical disconnect that the D's can't seem to get over; laws do not stop determined and/or mentally disturbed people from committing crime...laws only exist as a line in the sand so society knows when to punish people.
