They have different import laws than we do, I saw a Norinco QBZ97 in a shop in 2019. No prices seemed that exorbitant. I'm not sure how the laws have changed lately, but that seems surprising for handguns to cost so much.

All sales of handguns are now banned. Previously owned are allowed to be retained by the registered owner, I don't believe they can even be bequeathed legally.
