I just have to remind myself that everything I'm shooting was bought back at the normal prices---not the obscene prices it would currently cost to replace the stuff. It'll hopefully normalize out again as it has in the past ammo and reloading component panics.
Well ... That was a BLAST!! If its possible to be in love with inanimate objects .. I ?MAY? get a little bit of the chubby when shooting my Sig 229. So sweet

Here's the part that I can't get past in my head - I paid $16.50 per 1K the last time I bought primers. And while at the rate I've been shooting the last 10 years I probably have enough to last the rest of my life, it still bothers me what the current replacement cost is.
At some point I'm just gonna have to say "f it" and start using 'em up. They're not going to last forever and neither am I.

I'm shooting the same as I have for years. Sporting Clays/skeet/trap at least once a week, handguns at least once a week, rifles here and there, around once a month and I shoot the same amount of ammo I always did, perhaps a bit more shotgun the last year than prior years.
I'm pretty sure I have enough to last the rest of my life, but I still buy any component that's a deal whenever I find it.

Heading to the range tomorrow to sight in two rifles. Upgraded the scope on my .308 JP LRP-07 and put the scope that was on it on a new back up AR-15. Also need to sight in the 45 degree offset irons on the back up AR-15. Just got finished bore sighting both to minimize ammo usage. The JP likes 155gr Hornady Steel match which I thankfully stocked up on long ago when it was around $32 for a box of 50. I don't even want to check out how much it would cost to replace it today if you could even find it. The primary AR-15 shoots very well with Wolf Gold so that's what the backup will get sighted in with. I think I bought the Wolf when it was $280/case. Guessing that is a little more expensive right now also....
However, I feel the same as Boriqua. I bought the gun and ammo to shoot so shoot them I will.

its unreal all the folks pm'ing me about the old post on primers and powder, thinking i'd have some left,
myself and a couple others are on a 6 month back order for a huge order, which, we may or not get in my life time, if i'd only held on to a few more, i'd probably had enough to get me to the dirt nap, with out concern,
as i got a new gat today extar thingy, its gonna have t have a couple hundred run thru it on friday, can't wait,
good luck with shoot, and hoarding of goods. hehehehe
