I didn't care for the place. Could be very well that I am getting old and far grumpier but its a group of really young cats with the "I dont care attitude and I waited and called and emailed for 10 days to get a receipt I was due.

I traded in a gun as partial payment on another gun and wanted a receipt of the transaction and was told repeatedly about printer problems and people out and everything but .. here is your damn receipt.

I couldn't tell if it was something shady or just " We dont give a Fuk we made the sale" but .. for me .. customer service is everything and really all a brick and mortar can offer over online purchases and it just wasn't there.

I have had great experiences and prices with Tombstone but its a haul and I like buying online and just having it sent to Area 15 but I wont go to guns2ammo again. All I wanted was my receipt .. shouldn't take 10 days to get.

I have never been to Guns2ammo, but have bought many handguns at Tombstone. They have good prices, they are very professional (except for one guy - never remember his name), and you can order online and pick the weapon up at your convenence. I have looked at their layaway policy, I'm not sure I want to use it (Many negatives in my book). Other than that, great place to do business.

I'm pretty particular on my buying habits, although i have on more than one occassion been smitten by the new shiney and had to have it "right now". but on the average, i know what i want and the general price i will pay, i have a couple vendors/dealers that on occassion can get
"a deal" but for the most part i do buy locally, and i don't like bull shiat and smoke blown up my keyster, and my 500 ft radar is on all times and is quite good at picking up the idgits in the world.
anyhow, with this day and age with the present idiots in the work place, customer service if given nicely is almost becoming similar to chickenteeth. just saying. oh yeah, i'm not shy about calling out customer service quite loudly at the time it occcurs. how can they fix what they do not know

happy tuesday

We stopped by Guns2ammo today to browse, as I would thru any gun store I haven't been in before.
After advising the young person behind the counter that this was our first time in he began to inquire if we were looking for anything in particular that he could help us with. Nope, said I, just browsing. He then proceeded to stand back and let us browse. We begin to ask questions about this and that and he was quite helpful in regards to trying to best answer our inquiries. He showed us several firearms at our request and we had straight forward discussions about them. After we were done browsing we said thanks for letting us look and he said "any time" please come back.
Honestly guys, I didn't see anything wrong with his customer service approach. He was polite and helpful. Ya know, good customers and good customer service works both ways. Take the criticism you get on these forums with a grain of salt and don't condemn a business unless you've gone there and experienced the good, or the bad, first hand.

While you are 100% right in regards to forming your own opinion .. people come here to ask about others experiences and to be honest .. the story of your experience is not very valuable. Here is why

yes .. There are gun shops in this town where you can walk around in the shop for 30 minutes and be completely ignored. I know of at least one highly regarded gunshop where this is regular. It is a pleasure to find eager, helpful SALESPEOPLE when shopping and I had a similar experience to you at guns3ammo. Guys were friendly, they spent time jawing with you and you left with the warm and fuzzies.

However ... that is what salesmen are supposed to do and I have met or heard of plenty a contractor who were great salesmen and never came to finish your kitchen. I have spent a lot of time around sales people and there job is to glad hand and smile. Once the sale is made .. often you are on your own.

When I bought my gun they said the owner was out and they couldn't access the printer for my receipt. I traded in a Glock and wanted something that said I no longer owned the gun.I also wanted a receipt for what I purchased in case of warranty needs. Still basking in the glow of all this "cool guy" feelings and woed by smiles and handshakes I figured it would be fine and they asked for my email so that they could email me a receipt at the end of the day.

Never got it. I called, I emailed.. then i was told the printer was broken. Finally after 10 days of being a pain I got a receipt with exactly 2 lines of print which was all I needed.

Now .. I have trouble believing that NO ONE had a printer at home to print off this receipt. Its BAD customer service and it is not how you retain clients. I should know .. When I was at the last place I worked back east I was responsible for the highest client retention rate they had ever seen. Why ... because I treated people with respect and if I made a promise you could chisel it in granite.

Follow up after a sale is what REAL customer service is about. Remember ... every used car salesmen will smile and show you his wares and act like he is your bud

For a good experience, give Alpha Dog Firearms in Tempe, SE corner Baseline & Mill.

All vet knowledgable staff, they have lots of goods, but the stock moves fast so be patient. A resident gunsmith Tues/Thurs. Discounts for vets/1st responders.

And a full service coffee bar, 'cause you can't buy a gun at Starbucks.. .

Hmmmm, my experience is not very valuable, but YOUR's is..........man, I can't begin to understand why you would have any problems. My bad....

Simply because my experience was actually as it regards follow through and customer service and not just someone sucking my dik to sell me something.

10 days to recieve a reciept after purchase is a measure of follow through. Someone smiling at you in order to sell you something is not.

Yea guess it was me? Here i was expecting a fuking reciept. How dare I! :)

Seems a mans word aint what it used to be. My word is binding

I second the recommendation for Alphadogfirearms in Tempe. Very nice store and staff, and even coffee. I had them ship a handgun for me a while back to North Carolina that every else wanted $80+. Alpha Dog laughed at that and did it for like $35. Very nice place.
