Gun in attempted Colombia assassination came from AJI Firearms

Looks like it was an out of state transfer that AJI did the 4473 for. They didn’t sell it to him from their inventory

So? All that means is that at one point in time, AJI did an FFL transfer for a pistol. I doubt Jeff is the mastermind behind the assassination attempt. That is just where the NICS Trace tracked the gun to from the manufacturer to the first person to complete a Form 4473 for it. That's like saying a bank robers getaway car was traced back to San Tan Ford, as if somehow they are responsible for how the vehicle was used.

Who knows how many times the pistol has changed hands since then.
This is only interesting to people who don't know how the gun industry works.

The only people who care are the people who work at and operate AJI... because the ATF is about to crawl up their ass with a microscope and no lube.

I don’t spend a lot of time hanging out in gun stores but AJI is the only one I’ve seen actively stop a sale. Sales people just telling a potential buyer Nope not here not today.

I would not be surprised if a car sold at San Tan Ford was used in a crime in Scottsdale. But I would be very surprised -- and curious -- if it were used in a crime in Shanghai China.

How in hell did a gun get from Apache Junction to frickin' Bogota Colombia? That's gotta be a great story.

Big deal. I am sure there are 100's of gun dealers in the US that sold guns , that ended up going south.
That doesn't mean they had anything to do about it.
Eric Holder sent thousands of guns south.
One of his guns killed a border patrol agent.
What ever happened about that ?

The gun showed up in Bogota Columbia the same way cocaine from Columbia showes up in Apache Junction; someone transported it there in a vehicle. It's not a great story, it is a very simple one...there are roads that connect the two places. To keep the car analogy going, you are a little off. It's more like a car purchased in Arizona turned up in a crime in Anchorage AK...there are roads between the two places, and people easily travel with small things, such as firearms.

Thousands of firearms illegally bought firearms are trafficked into South America from the United States every year. The ATF allowed it to happen for years; it was called Fast And Furious. The amount of Barrett M82's, AK-47's, and FN FiveSeven pistols that were straw-purchased by cartel shills from Arizona gun shops and allowed to be sent across the border into Mexico would surprise you. I have no trouble believing a Glock did the same thing.

Just another way to demonize the gun, the dealer, American freedoms, and detract from the criminal.

CIA learned a valuable lesson, they could have buried their complicity in the JFK assassination if they diverted all the focus to the Military Assault Weapon, who imported it, where it came from, the Wholsaler, the dealer etc. and nobody would even know Lee Harvey Oswald's name today.
