the above is VERY true...remember back to the Obummer times, when you couldn't find a lower parts kit anywhere and had to piece together the parts to do a build.

I've got a few spare odds and ends, but for sure need to stock up on some things at the minimum.
I've got a spare lower I'd like to build a pistol on.
After that, I'd like to stock up at least one extra rifle and pistol barrel, a couple bolts and LPK's, recoil springs, gas rings and tubes and a big PILE of detents at least. That should future proof me pretty good.

Agreed. If you need 1, buy 2. And you can never have to many tools.

Done. surprisingly parts kits can be found. Tough to find BCG's but picked up crush washers and things like that just in case.

Funny, when I see parts at a fantastic price, I buy, and then share that info with others. More likely, parts and ammo will be traded, one for the other. If you ain't got a BCG and got 500 rds of a caliber I need, woohoo, barter time.

My room mate from college just got wise and is playing catch-up.
Luckily he has been able to make deals and he has paid more than we all did 10 years ago but better late than never.
I’m still buying ammo. f*** it.

Hey it’s never too late. In the future we I’ll look back on this time and wish we had all bought more.
I myself am still buying parts and ammo. Hell even guns. Sure not at the same rate as the past but I like to replenish what I shoot. With every order I grab a mag or two just cause. Sure the prices are higher but I’ve bought lots at much lower prices so it balances out. Or at least that’s my excuse!
