I'm hoping the judge will say "The court is aware of his preferences, but this court does not care about his preferences. Presumably, the people he murdered preferred that he not murder them, but he did not respect their preferences, did he? Does the defendant have a penis? Yes? Then, in this court, and in all proceedings, written and oral, the defendant will be referred to as "he" or "him."

Yeah,...my first thought when watching this guy is that he's been drinking. Totally understandable to be drinking when you learn your son has done this.
