To be fair, if you have crap ammo, your gun can be normally reliable and suddenly not. I've been guilty of making out of spec ammo on rare occasions, and suffered reliability issues as a result. Worst I ever experienced was a bunch of 10mm I loaded once that were ever so slightly too long. They fit and functioned in the OLDER 1st Gen G20 mags that were NOT drop-free design,...but there was just enough extra material in the newer drop-free types that they were dragging their noses on the front of the mag and producing all kinds of stoppages.
