Sounds like a gimmick. Silver is anti-microbial and usually used in fabrics to combat odor retention.
For ear pro, I'd worry that anything that wicks moisture out will allow more sound in. And maybe it's just me, but when it's hot, my "moisture-wicking" fabric hat is soaked. I wouldn't expect these to be any drier.
