Do you shop at a mall with a gun-sniffing dog?

Durham, N.C. mall has had 3 gun-related incidents in recent weeks, so they added a gun-sniffing canine and handler to their security team.

Since woke insurance companies run the world, I wonder how long before they start insisting these be everywhere.

I would be inclined to make sure I had just finished reloading a bunch of ammo and have remnant powder flakes all over me as I walk right past that dog and hope security tries to bounce me so I can cause a stink. Heck, maybe they'll give me a tonk on the head and I can sue?

I like your idea of trying to throw the dogs off. Don't forget to carry some doggy biscuits in your pocket.

Better: Use Liberal Tears gun oil. It's bacon-scented.

Iffn ya don't like people and need a new aftershave, the old GI bore cleaner in the metal can should do the trick.

And it'll probably keep the dogs away as well.

So when a place posts the "No Firearms" signs, what's the violation/code if you ignore it? I assume that's what these K9 LEOs are trying to enforce in NC. I thought it was just a trespass type of thing here. Surely not worth the investment in K9s, training, handlers, etc.

I wonder if the dogs are trained to go after something obscure like Eezoxs? Regardless, how hard is it to avoid one dog in a huge shopping mall?

Read the story. They aren’t “K-9 LEO’s”, it’s a private firm that’s doing this and as such just because their K-9 changes behavior or sits on somebody there is still no probable cause. This is a PR stunt to fool idiots into leaving their guns outside the mall.

You’ve obviously never been around trained working dogs.
