Disassemble CZ-50

Just got a CZ-50 and it's beautiful. The nicest surplus gun I've ever seen. Not sure it was ever issued or has ever been fired.

Anyways wanted to take it apart to clean away cosmoline and to just familiarize myself with the gun. I can't get the slide off. I hold the release and pull back the slide and it just doesn't lift up and separate from the frame like in all the videos. Really frustrating. Anyone have any tips or tricks I should try?

>Clear it
>Cock it
>Set it to fire
>Pull the slide back
>Feel where it catches at almost all the way back
>lift straight up
>remove slide forwards
