Honestly, why bother getting involved? You know damn well there will be no witnesses or information.

Not our circus, not our monkeys, not our clowns.

If you're gonna take the pay, do the job.

If you're not going to do the job, resign and find some other way to make a living.

Why bother locking them up? The crooked courts and D.A.s will probably let them out before they get out of the officers car. The mayors, city councils and courts are all in this together in those democratic cities. They just want to welcome in the feds to clean up the streets. Maybe have martial law declared, so they can sit back and collect the government assistance.

Female occifer ... fact...FWIW

Don’t know which was worse... driving away or not even reporting it.

Might as well defund them since it’s going this way.😂

SCOTUS says no duty to protect, and I can't blame them for running. Those people are gonna kill each other, we should let them, and in fact, round them up and let them do it in a place without innocent lives being taken. There's really no point in going after the shooters, they'll go to court, plea to a lesser charge, get 3 months, and they'll be back at it again within days of their release.

You don't have to blame them. I do. Regardless of what SCOTUS said about that, they do have a duty. Hopefully they are stripped of their badges

kenpo kinda shared my sentiment, if only innocents were not involved most of the time, let the savages do each other, why spend the time to attempt the catch and release program, only issue is when and where to not intervene. these days you can't fart without someone being offended, pretty sure if cows could talk they would be offended big time for being blamed for climate change

The gang bangers felt confident enough to "pull in front" of a police cruiser and do a drive by. Either the cop is on the take or they know the officer isn't a threat for some other reason. Sad.

Lots of lawsuits against police depts. are dropped because of the SCOTUS decision. When cops failed to act, the victims sued, and lost, this is one of those cases. And yes, they should lose their badges, and never be allowed to become a public servant ever.

Clyde, you know damn well what the job is and is supposed to be. People are supposed to be able to rely on us and it is unforgivable for an officer to go the other direction when a citizen needs us. Say all you want about scotus duty to defend etc.... we all take the job knowing one day it may be a bad day for our family, if you can't live with or deal with that you need to turn your shit in and move on. I have gone into fights and situations scared as hell but I went. So has carlos, mark and some others on here. I will not overlook nor forgive someone violating their oath or failing to protect a citizen

Actually, I thought I knew, at one time. Anymore, I'm confused as phuk as to what cops are doing these days. DC capitol police opening near you, with all the goodness they bring.

To protect and serve. I don't think running away from a shooting classifies as protecting the community. Nobody is perfect but they should of at least done something. Running away from the shooting is ridiculous. If the police won't stand up for the community, who will?

You realize that "protect and serve" was just a slogan used on the LA police cars. It has become a common myth.

Oath of Office
I (state your name), do solemnly swear (or affirm), that I will support the Constitution of the United States, and the Constitution and laws of the State of Arizona, that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same, and defend them against enemies, foreign and domestic, and that I will faithfully and impartially discharge, the duties of a peace officer, to the best of my ability, so help me God.

See, no "protect and serve" anywhere.
