I been on the fence to pick up 9mm in a AR platform or CZ scorpion. Any help would be appreciated. I plan on getting it stamped to SBR it.
WHY, just cause I think they look cool :D

That is a good looking weapon

well i have a couple pcc ar9s, and they are a hoot, they are 16 inch barrels as i'm not a huge fan of the platform pistols,

i do have a friend who does have the scorpian, and have to say one is on my short list, once i find one in the configuration i want. havind shot it multiple times, its a "gotta have", but my carbines with the red dots, are really on target, and function exceptionally well.
best of luck with purchase and please share results, a smile or a really big smile

Got a
Uzi (16"bbl)
Scorpion pistol with brace and suppressor
Sterling (16"bbl)
M31 Finnish semi w/ 16"bbl
Rossi 357 20" lever
Rossi 45lc 24" lever

I can gladly recommend the scorpion.
It's a little dirty suppressed but that's expected

I have a Scorpion, an MPX, and an AR-15 based 9mm.

I prefer the AR-15 based gun. I am running conversion mags from MEAN Arms, called the ENDO Mag. I can use my SBR'd AR-15 lower to run 9mm and any PMag based caliber with a short barrel. The ability to focus training on ONE platform is a benefit most people over look. Same trigger, same grip, same safety position, same manual of arms, same ergo's for all my rifle-based calibers makes it easy to transition. Not to mention I can use the same chest rigs and mag pouches for all.

Between the Scorpion and the MPX, I prefer the Scorpion. Half the price of an MPX, does the same thing.

Thanks for the replies, I will have to rack my brain. I have build a few ar weapons, but haven't in a bit
Pretty sure with what's going on parts are hard to come buy, I did find a scorpion in stock locally. Decision decisions

I can say Scorpion vs MPX, if you suppress it, Scorpion wins hands down. Way too much blowback from MPX and very little on a Scorp.

I have an AR PCC 9mm SBR in addition to my SBRed Scorp. Really can't say which I prefer more, I like them both. I can say at twice the price buy 2 Scorpions over one MPX. If you are stuck on drills etc. and you have other ARs, you mighty be better with a platform you are familiar with and go the 9mm AR route.

The Scorp is like an MP5. similar bolt hold open, similar bolt release, similar paddle mag release. The Scorp shoots great, cheap trigger upgrade, PSA just brought out cheap 35 round mags, that also run in their AK 9mm.

Good luck in choosing.

I pulled the trigger and ordered a CZ scorpion. Now to search for an optic

HB Industries locally makes all the mods for a Scorpion and the tools to remove the trigger FYI. Check them out.

Rite on thanks for the heads up. I appreciate it greatly!

I was over at club 82 and they carry Young Manufacturing Delta 9. Ar9. It looks pretty nice. Runs on uzi mags.

I love my scorpion, the only issue I have ever had was an occasional fail to fire that was completely related to a minor issue with the franklin binary trigger.

I also snagged ten of the PSA 35rnd mags when they were on sale and haven't had any issues, nice mags imo.

What about the SIG SAUER MPX COPPERHEAD

It's a stylin' little sub gun just is too damn pricey. Scorpion is the best way to go if youre trying to balance, cost, versatility, size, aftermarket support etc.

The biggest thing that sours me with Sig is that they make something cool, change it like 2 to 3 times and then just drop it. I think the Scorpion is going to be around for awhile and fills a niche market.
