Just finished watching "Fortress of war." Its Russian so there are two things to note immediately .. you will have to read subtitles and its a bit longer than it needed to be.
I know there are some people who just wont watch a pic with subtitles so I figured I would mention it.
I thought it had some great and realistic (far as I can tell) combat scenes and all in all.... I really enjoyed it. Its hard to find a ton of modern made war pictures that are any good but my last two favorites I think are from Russia
The one I just watched
Fortress of war
and
Battle for Sevastopol
They both have some "feelings" stuff in them but plenty of gritty action and I think they were both beautiful visually.
Saw both on Amazon. If you have 2+ hours and want to see a bit of a different war film you may want to give them a shot.
