just trying to find out if we have any cigar aficionado's on the board or those of you that just enjoy one every now and then. we have a family friend that is a daily smoker and has an extensive selection of his daily smokers that he is parting with. i will have all of them in my hands along with a few of his walking around travel humidors tonight. these are mostly of the 5.5" size and all are around the $9-$19 pricing per.

i am looking for a little help in pointing me in the right direction of a local lounge or shop that may be interested in taking on his collection. thanks in advance. ;)

Stoggie lover here.

Never heard of a shop that would buy a collection. Obviously not for resale but if they did i would bet they would pay pennies on the dollar. There may be a few members who would buy some from you. I would advise to not sell by the stick. Maybe in samplers of 10 or 20.

Post up what have and you have.

With all the hoopla about the virus going around , I doubt very seriously any store or cigar lounge will buy anything right now. Especially for resale. There would be too many liabilities attached to it.

There are several non profit organizations that won't even take donations right now because of the virus.

It's just a guess , I could be wrong.

Yep, try selling sampler packs here or on cigar forums. They're pretty common on cigar forums as a way to get a sample of several brands.

I quit the toobs a few years ago, and boy howdy still stop by a couple shops when open to chat with friends and take in the after math, aw do i miss a good pull on one, but i was smoking way too many, and well you know

being clueless to the whole world of all things cigar i made a post here and laid out a few on a desk at a local office...... and...... poof!!! Gone!!

thanks guys for all the advise and pm's along with all your help in taking care of several dozen of these little sticks of joy. they are now all in happy hands to be enjoyed by the cigar community. :obscene-smokingsombrero:

Good to hear.
Switched to pipe and would sit outside with a bit of whiskey, the pipe and read for a hour or so. Very relaxing

I regularly enjoy good quality Nicaraguan smokes. I'm a Drew Estate and Blk Wrks guy but never say no to any good quality smokes. I enjoy the stray cuban but I prefer the good dark Maduro Nicaraguan...

Been not smoking them much this past year or so, prior to that they had been my trademark for 25 years.

You are going to be better off trying to sell them privately. I've never seen a shop offer to buy sticks off people. Also, you better make sure you are holding them at proper humidity and temp, otherwise most people won't want to buy some that might be damaged.

My humidoor is a simple Igloo, and I buy Boveda packs to keep it steady.
When the packs start to dry out, they CAN be rejuvenated with a soak in
distilled water until plump again. I don't think I've ever tried to do it more than
twice.
