You see more and more u-tube video's on new low cost guns or budget guns. I can understand where the gun manufactories are headed. A lot of people really can't afford hi-end guns they would like to purchase. Glock, Sig's, XD's. Just a few to mention. So how can an average person that does not have the funds to get proper training if the cost is more than a weeks pay. I am all for training. I try to put some money a side when able to. To take a 2 day pistol course with a well known instructor. Stuff happens when not expected, that's life. Carry Trainer / Mickey might come to Casa Grande later this year 2 day course. His cost is very reasonable. Saving up. Sorry for being long winded on this subject.

Other than a breakdown of the basics of marksmanship, I think a box or two of ammo a week downrange is worth more than some high dollar class.

What's being gained taking this class? Is there something special in this class that can't be replicated on one's own time and budget?

Never heard "Glocks, SIGs and XDs" referred to as "high end guns" before.

O.K. point taken. Expensive pistols, Better,
If those guns are considered expensive by the people you are looking to recruit for the class they probably can't afford it nor the 100s of rounds such courses entail.

What exactly would they get for the money?

And who exactly is " Carry Trainer/Mickey"?

If a run of the mill Glock exceeds someone's weekly pay, they don't need to be spending their money on hand gun training. Rent, power, groceries, all higher on the priority list.

Manufacturing cost of Glock vs Retail Price? I bet it's a huge difference. People complain about Big Pharm gouging on costs of prescriptions, demanding they lower the prices...even the Gov is getting on them for 'making too much money'...maybe Glock will listen to gun owners on lowering the costs of their pistols....

.....nah, I didn't think so, either.

For giggles I checked out the guy's web site. Appears to be very common sense training from his vids, no Navy Seal, Sniper Scout, Green beret bull. Just for the everyday person who cold find themselves in a bad situation.

Mfg cost vs retail cost is called profit, and it's how companies make money. Big Pharma makes people mad when they drastically increase the cost of a drug for no apparent reason. You won't see a Glock 19 in a gun shop for $500 on Monday, and then see the same gun for $1,500 on Tuesday...unlike some prescription drugs.

What makes you say I'm recruiting people, NOT! Just saying what is possible I might do. You pay for what you get. There are some decent pistols $299-$399 range.

There is also the known fact that American patients are subsidizing the costs for the rest of the world. Where a pill costs $100 each in the US but step into Mexico and the same pill is $1.

Yep. It ain't about the real cost of the item, it's about 'what the market can afford to pay for it'

Spending money on ammo to practice wrong is counterproductive. 1000 rounds slowfire with a teacup grip and backwards-leaning stance is probably worse than no practice at all. Sign up for a basic course at Shooters World or Scottsdale Gun Club or C2 or somewhere, and learn how to hold the gun, align the sights, and press the trigger before you form a lot of bad habits.

At least seek out some YouTube videos.

Yes it is. Do you have a problem. I guess you folks at St. Johns talk like you have crap in your mouth.

Looks like you can not have a decent conversation on this forum with out some one writing shit about the other person. Me thinks you are a far left Liberal. My rights don't end where your feelings begin.
