Brace ruling and proof of possession

As I read the ruling and instructions on filing out form 1 as a trust I’m reading that I need to provide proof of possession before the ruling. Which I did. However what proof can I submit if it was purchased via private party with no BoS?

Any suggestions? I don’t want to register but I always wanted to convert this pistol to an even anyway. So I’ll take the chance now that the tax is free (if I read that correctly)

According to the ATF, from their webinar, it should be included on your schedule "A", property list of the trust.

That's what they said. Now, if they demand proof of it being prior to their rule change, it's too late.

Question is: is having it on the schedule A good enough proof? I read something about a BOS? Who does that?? This is AZ. No bill of sale. Do I need my schedule A notarized? I sure hope not. Never had to do that with a trust. So will my firm1 be rejected and then I have to file as an individual?

Too many unanswered questions. Too many flaws in this ruling.

From what I read you don’t even have to destroy it. You just have to remove it. Perfectly legal to be in possession of a brace.

But a free form1 sounds good.

I want to know what our lovely legislators are doing about this.

Say we get approved for a free form 1, becomes an sbr, then later down the road it all gets overturned....Will we get to keep the stamp or will it default back to a pistol?

It depends on who you believe, ATF-A or ATF-B.

During their mind-numbing 1 hour presentation they "SAID" that you do not have to destroy it.

They said that while they had this slied up on the screen.
