A Neighbor had a Burro taken from his corral this week. It had been drug under the fence and partially buried. South of Prescott / Prescott Valley. 135 Lbs. They're out there!

When I hike, I carry a Ruger LC9 in a pocket holster (because a backpack obviates a belt holster). This makes me think maybe I should OC a .357 or .44 Mag in a leg holster.

What do you carry (and how) when hiking with a backpack?

I "was" carrying a 642, but I'm not gonna lie - the G20 saw some light this week. That being said, I'll probably be back to the .38 by next week... We just day hike at best, both are strong side OWB, but concealed.

There are Bears up here too, though I've yet to see one. Apparently one tore the $h!t out of my neighbors porch. Not sure what his problem with a porch was.. LOL

One of our down the road neighbors that used to live in Montana so he was used to the cats went outside the other night at 2am to bring his outdoor furniture in from the rain. He was carrying some cushions and looked up on his concrete wall and there was a lion sitting there watching him.

Needless to say he was rattled pretty well since his situational awareness failure could of been lethal.

Officials say on Thursday, a group of rafters was camped on the edge of the river when a mountain lion approached the group and attacked the man.

According to reports, the rafters used their paddles to try and fight off the mountain lion. Eventually, the lion was kept at bay and the group used their rafts to get to safety.

"Allow"? Allow got nothing to do with it. What they don't know won't hurt 'em.

Drop leg holster or adapter is what you want. It's not so low that you have to have a leg strap but just low enough to clear pack hip belt. If you have a pack with moly webbing, you can also get holsters that attach to that directly
