The Congressional Record for the Senate on July 9, 1985, quotes Biden describing FOPA as a “balanced piece of legislation that protects the rights of private gun owners while not infringing on law enforcement’s ability to deal with those who misuse guns or violate laws.”

He added, “During my 12 and a half years as a member of this body, I have never believed that additional gun control or federal registration of guns would reduce crime. I am convinced that a criminal who wants a firearm can get one through illegal, nontraceable, unregistered sources, with or without gun control.”

Politician changes past opinion to fit current political climate, film at 11!

He was right...criminal will criminal no matter what the law says. Anyone who thinks adding more gun laws will stop more gun-related crime should go look at gun crime in Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, Baltimore, Detroit, etc. All in states with stricter than average gun laws, all with higher than average gun crime.

Biden is a demented, controlled, old man. He has little idea what the hell he is doing but he is aware enough to know it feels good to him.

A woke Ultra-Karen, controlled by others.

have to agree, he has no idea of where, what is going on, you can see the deer in headlight thru his eyes.

My question is, why are the Republicans not quoting this at every opportunity, 24/7? Instead, they are having bipartisan meetings to "compromise." Are they trying to lose in November?

The succession is Kamel, then Pelosi. I bet they don't want to roll those dice.

Come mid-terms if voters get off their ass, and get the house and senate, both Bidet and the Kamel he rode in on can be impeached and the speaker of the house is in.

Another flip flop politician I will alert the media! I have seen some flip in the same day and back a week later, Lindsey comes to mind. They all say what the base of the month wants to hear.
