It has been a ongoing thing with this guy. He was told multiple times to stop selling raw milk and products made with raw milk to people outside the Amish community. He is always trying to find work arounds by selling people the cows and he gets the milk and other products through a club. people have gotten sick from his products. Selling it to his own people there was never a issue, selling to outsiders is where the problem lies. I have to follow the law in my businesses that handle agriculture products and so does he. He believes he does not have to follow the law because he is not one of us. Other Amish farmers have been through the same problems and when they complied they were left alone.

It is as simple as this. He had the same issues under Trump and Obama as well.

With all due respect Lapua, what a farmer grows or produces and sells to a willing consumer in a voluntary exchange is absolutely none of the governments business. We have civil courts to punish bad actors that cause harm or misrepresent their products and that's the way it should be.

I'll bet there is no "law" against selling raw milk. I'm sure it's a regulation drafted by some petty minor bureaucrats at the behest of some giant agro business that wants to eliminate competition. That has been the American way for 40 plus years now. Regulations say it's not okay to sell raw milk, but completely fine to douse every bushel of wheat with roundup to increase yeilds

The "law", when you go beyond common laws everyone understands, is almost always in conflict with a free country.
