afaik, ricochet or bullet impact caused a brush fire on the foothill down range
maybe someone accidentally grabbed the mag with the tracer, incendiary or raufoss rounds in it. lol

The picture looked like it was behind one of the steel ranges. Maybe it was just the angle of it though. I think we’re in for another horrible fire season this year.

Yeah, it looked about the same size as last year’s.

When? Couldn't have been that big of a fire. I live in the area I would have seen the smoke.

I heard and saw the Daisy Mountain fire trucks. You could see the smoke, but you had to be looking for it.
Talking to the fire fighters and the BLM ranger, there is a good chance if we don't see some rain soon, the desert will be closed by the first week of May :(

Pray for rain then. Last thing we need is another brush fire in the area. Last one almost took out Tramonto.

I was out there today. Spoke with the range master running that range (rifle silhouette). Is the new range they just opened to the public. They saw it happen, was a skip off the berm. They checked the shooters ammo, was not tracer rounds. This is the third time it's happened that I'm aware of, at 3 different ranges. They've been trying to get permission for a controlled burn, so far no luck.

That would b a simple solution, but far to easy for the government to understand.
