Have had enough with the gas blower and will decide on a battery operated one. If you have one you like what do you recommend?

I've been looking at the DeWalt 60 and the Milwaukee 18. Any recommendations are appreciated.

Thank you!

I would go with the Milwaukee. The M18 system will allow you to have a ton of other tools that use the same battery. I've got quite a few things in the M18/12 lineup.

Im running the dewalt 60v and that thing impresses me every time I use it. I was fearful of hating battery powered blowers but the lithium battery tech has come along way. I can easily do my back and front yards one a single charge and still use the battery to run a edger for the grass. Plenty of power to blow my damn rocks everywhere that I dont want them.

I had looked at that Milwaukee platform since their other tools are awesome too but I do not think they had the edger or didnt at the time I picked up the dewalt. and I wanted to have the same platform for blower and edger. In hindsight I dont even have any of the M18 series of tools since most of my cordless drills/impacts are snapon anyway(dont judge, been married to that platform way before M18stuff so too expensive to change over now!)

havne't bought a battery powered yard tool ever, since i toasted one many moons ago, got me a light 10 0 ft cord and drag that mofo all over, knocking over lights, and chit, gives me good exercise to fix'm lol, NOT, but its what i have and use, and blows the snot outta everything. maybe a cordless is in my future, or just a yard boy or gal. :)

My wife bought a battery powered pole saw and a chainsaw made by Ryobi.
She has used the heck out of them and they actually work pretty darn good.
What is really nice about these is that they came with a lifetime warranty on the batteries.
Anyone that has any battery powered tools know that replacement batteries usually cost more than the original cost of the tool and battery.

I've had Black and Decker Firestorm battery operated tools for around 18 yrs. Weed wacker, leaf blower, skill saw, jig saw, flashlight and a couple of other tools. I can weed wack the front and back yard, swap to the leaf blower with the same battery and blow off the sidewalk, walkway to the front door and the back patio.

The leaf blower has plenty of power to move whatever debris in the way.

Not sure if they're still available tho.

I have the GREENworks blower/trimmer combo 60v. But mainly because it was on clearance at Lowe’s. Really like it. If you sign up for the emails on their website they are always running deals.

Going battery cordless has been amazing

Bought into the milwaukee m18 and m12 systems years ago. No regrets. FWIW They have two 18v blowers. A small shop blower that is honestly the one I use most of all. Perfect for "sweeping" the porches. There is also a larger leaf blower. Don't have that one yet.

Make sure whatever brand you decide get the brushless versions. They will last much longer and are more efficient on batteries.

Been using ryobi 40v blower for a few years without any complaint. I paired it with a mower and trimmer that's been running for 6 years. So I always have an extra battery in rotation. They clean, trim up my place in short order.

Great warranty which I used once on mower 6mos after purchase. After I dropped off at local shop they shipped me a complete new mower which gave me an extra battery. You can buy refurb tool only at direct-tools but home depot is always best price for new units.

I have a desalt dce100. Works with all my 20v work tools so I don’t have a ton of extra chargers. It works great also.
