Do you all think it’s worth the trouble for a high end firearm refinish? What finish do you think brings more value to the firearm. Has anyone used this place, did you have a good or bad experience here.

Thanks ahead of time.

I’ve always been partial to KG Gun Kote since Derek from AZEX turned me on to it.

They may not offer quite the color assortment that others do, but for protection and durability they are top of the line.

Wright just bought the proprietary metal finishing business from Robar, long the champ of durable gun finishes. Their Np-3+ is absolutely the finest metal treatment I've ever found. Robar is local to me. I've never had the need for another finish job, but I'd certainly look towards Wright Armory to see if they are holding up Robar's reputation. While I know that various paints have become popular, they can't hold a candle to this true metal treatment.

I have NP3 on several guns. I am a big fan. NP3 does not just protect, it lubricates. (Teflon imbedded in the finish.) I still lube my NP3 guns, but I have run them dry to test, and they will run without sticking. Good to know that in an emergency, the guns won't seize.

My NP3 guns were done by Robar. I have not used Wright for refinishing, but if they follow the recipe, they should be OK.

NP3 Finish lubricates.Ive only one problem with NP3,on a 1911 with an NP3 coated frame.I could not for the life of me keep a hard handgrip on that dam thing.Every time i pulled the trigger the gun would shift in my hand about 15-20 degrees. The finish truly always feels lubricated....

Well I’m getting my H&K p7m8 slide finished with Armorlube. It’s looks better to me then the mat nickel. I have had this plum HK that someone bubba the refinish on the slide. Only takes 6 months, good god I got 3-4 more months to go it better look amazing. Haha, I will let you guys know.

I have 2 rifles with NP3 (both POF builder kits) and if there were any 2 guns I love to clean...its those 2. 1 is a 10.5 at and 1 is a precision 308. Both get shot 100% with a can and the 10.5 gets shot ALOT. I can just take a rag to it and stuff wipes off without any hassle.

Get the Plus version if it suits your demands. Much tougher than even Np3. And they are still local, so there is $100 saved just in shipping.
