For now, $157 is more than I'm willing to pay for primers.

Bruno's in north phoenix gets primers in about every 2-3 weeks
The size does vary, sometimes is small rifle, large rifle, small pistol, large pistol or shotgun
But he does get primers in.
He usually sells them for $99.oo

More like 6 times. MiWall used to sell SPP for $25.00/1,000

will never see those prices again, all indications from vendors is new values will be over 50% more than previous and will probably remain there, if production ever catches up. or imports are approved, which we know won't be, not during the debacle of administration.

A friend of mine just paid $105 for 1K SRP limit 1 at Midway and I thought that was trip off. But $157 :angry-banghead:

way I see it is you can make some sort of statement worrying about what once was and how these sellers are "gouging" or pay what they are going for so you dont have really fancy expensive paper weights.

Some may just choose not to shoot or not shoot their guns until ??? and that is an option but .. supplies are out there if you are willing to pay for them.

I had about 6000 primers and still spent $125 for 1000 a couple months back because I had a few extra bucks and wanted to build up stash. Considering what a case of ammo is going for if you can find it .. Meh .. 125.00 isnt so bad. I have spent a lot more money on things I got less enjoyment from.

Your call .. I like to shoot.

Yeah, if you look at the difference in price per round comparing $157/K to $25/K the difference is only 13¢/round or $6.50/box. Not too bad for these times.

The alternative !!

Plus .. I have really come to love tailoring my loads so have lost my taste for most store bought ammo

of course you can always take out your favorite gun and run around the house going Pew pew pew

The last time I bought SPPs from a merchant I paid $15.50/K. I bought a lot, but now I'm wishing I'd have bought double the amount that I did.

I soooooo dig it! I bought a case from RJ a year or so ago for I think around 130.00. can't swear but around that if old memory serves. He had more and I hesitated. That hindsight being blinding I should have picked up that second!!

Ah, I'll be shooting $25/K primers for the forseeable future. Be prepared as they told me in the Boy Scouts.

Yea .. when i bought the 5000 from RJ I had 5000 in my closet. I thought .. Meh .. what the hell do I need more than 10,000 primers for .....

Sportsman Outdoor Superstore had primers in stock for about ten minutes this afternoon. $99.00 for the regular CCI and Federal, $149.00 for the Bench rest and Gold medal match. Plus $25.00 hazmat and tax. Two thousand primer limit per order.
