So I have any extra 3rd gen Glock 19 slide assembly. I was thinking of doing one of those P80 thingies instead of hunting down a gen 3 stock Glock frame.

What do you guys think? Are they as well-made, reliable, and durable as a stock frame? How does a Glock shoot with a more traditional grip angle?

Top/left one is range/USPSA toy.
This was a true 80% frame with OEM G17 slide.

Bottom/right one is carry piece.
It is the “ready” P80 frame that is serialized from the factory (FFL transfer required), with a RIA upper off of flea bay.

I prefer the grip angle of the P80 vs Glock.

there was / is a place in Phoenix called Builders Anonymous and I always wanted to buy one of their kits. (Seemed to have best selection and price.) I am a huge Glock fan but I really wanted to build one of their lowers with the spare room for the middle finger and 191 grip angle.

I have been kind of waiting for the PSA Dagger to come out. (Glock clone, really cheap price wise.)

I would try it in your case. Does not seem very difficult.

Thanks guys. Builders Anon is right by my house! Are they affiliated with Quentin Defense? Too bad they are out of stock!

This looks like it would be an awesome summer project. With all the aftermarket Glock parts, you could trick it out how you wanted, from the ground up. Quite tempting.

I didn’t realize they had “ready” frames! I have always liked the idea of the steeper grip angle on these 80% frame but didn't want to deal with finishing the other 20%. This thread probably just cost me some money!

Love mine. Carry it every day easy to build and can be done with simple tools. Just dont drill the pin holes with a dremel i have seen way to many people destroy a frame attempting it. I snagged my slide pre chaos complete minus the fast fire 3 for $320. Luckily my frame rails fit perfectly but some do require you to file/polish to fit your slide

Here's one of mine. It's the full size and the grip angle is a lot better than the G17. I did have a small issue with my compact one. The front rails had a bit of a bulge on top. I just had to file it down some to make the slide fit. It runs really smooth now. I'll post up a picture in a bit.

Here's my compact. The only issue I had with this one was a slight warp or bulge on top of the left front rail that would bind up the slide when i tried fitting everything together. I filed it down flat and even with the right side and now she runs smooth.
