Shopper's Choice, on Apache Trail in AJ had 3 .50 cal. cans of Federal green tip 820 rounds for $450 earlier today.

I just about choked when I saw the price, but hey,...that's why it's still in stock, right?

Who gets their shipment in and has no sale prices? No invoices readily available?

Someone who is looking to maximize their markup.

Not really a 'deal' if you have no prices. Are we posting just 'available' notifications in this forum? Not much usefulness in that.

Unlike some of us who are not necessarily in need of purchasing ammo, I'm simply posting what's available at that moment to those who are in need and to those who are willing to pay more. Some are "deals", some are not.

I agree that a price is necessary, especially these days. So many vendors are jacking their prices up so high that it's hard to know if you should make the drive to pick up some ammo.

Also, it's good to know if they have any limits on how many you can buy. Personally, I won't go out of my way to buy ammo if stores are putting a 200 round cap on your purchase.

It might not be flying off the shelves. I'm sure there's a market, though.

effjaybay,

I'm only saying that without prices, it mitigates the impact of the forum, which, as best I can determine, is to identify good deals - not just presence. We've witnessed, 'Look, ABC has 9mm at $8.99/box, oops, sold out while I was typing' how many times?

I'm not sniping at you. I know you mean well. So don't take offense where none is intended, please.

AZ_Five56,

I've seen 5.56 at $700/1000.

I agree, it's anarchy out there.

I get you. Under "normal" circumstances (what's normal anymore?) this forum is a great place for spreading the word about good deals found locally and on the inter-webs. Some of us bought cheap and stacked deep when really good deals were available. Others who weren't as ready to buy when shelves were stocked with boxes of ammo almost to the point of collecting dust might need a little help to find ammo where it's available. I didn't take offense. I assumed you were on the look-out for ammo availability, hence the price response.

5.56 at $700/1000 is gettin' to be re-goddamm-diculous.

Who's the clown selling 1000 rounds for $850 on Armslist ? Maybe the same buttmunch selling bone stock glocks for $950 too.
