HB 2810, which would reform civil asset forfeiture laws to require a criminal conviction before property could be seized by police, passed the Senate Third Read Wednesday on a vote of 29-1. The bill will now go to the Governor. If you have not yet contacted Governor Ducey urging him to sign HB 2810 please do so immediately. You can contact him via this link: https://azgovernor.gov/
SB 1382, as amended in the House, would classify ammunition and firearms related businesses as “essential” during a state of emergency and strengthen protections against frivolous lawsuits. It is expected to be scheduled for a Senate Final Read vote on Monday, May 3rd.
