Korean 1981 vintage surplus .30 Carbine ammo in stock at multiple places (see below for a sampling). I bought a couple 1080 rd cans plus a few extra 120 rd bandoliers. Price to the door after shipping and tax was about 41 cents/round. The ammunition and can is in pristine shape. The ammo comes on 10 round stripper clips with attached spoons. Made loading my mags for tomorrow's shoot a breeze. The price of carbine ammo is not much different at the moment than what it was 6 months ago. Kind of funny, six months ago it was about 33% more expensive to shoot than 5.56. Now it is around 40% cheaper to shoot than 5.56 based on the current market rate.

I guess I will shoot my carbine a little more since it is currently available and I can mitigate the impact of shooting on my 5.56/7.62 ammo stock. In fact I will shoot it in Limited class this Sat at the Rio multigun. The picture is of my gear prepped for the match. We'll see how well I do at the 300 yard targets. I am also going to shoot my regular carry gun (G43). Not really competitive vs an AR w/red dot and a high cap pistol, but I don't care. No matter what I will be shooting, will have fun, and get some practical practice with my EDC.
