Pro tip: if you cut the front of your mags out, you can load to 2.36.
This is a 73gr eldm loaded to 2.36 oal over 24.6gr varget and does 2750 from my 18in white oak.
I had some time to build some stuff for myself for a change. I used my circle making machine to make a circle that would allow me to use a carbine spring and buffer in a rifle length buffer tube.

I'm looking to do some pistol/rifle training for me and the wife. It seems like there a lot of options locally. Anybody have any feed back or recommendations? I could commit an entire day to training, but a two day course is probably a non starter.
I only have cheap home built Ar15s in my collection of black rifles. They have served me well and I have thoroughly enjoyed shooting and tinkering with them. Although I feel the time has come for me to add something a bit higher quality to the stable. I'm looking for a high quality carbine...
