I’ve never really been an AR guy, but I’m starting to be swayed. What are your thoughts on a Pistol vs a rifle in an AR platform? The biggest thing I’ve heard is that a Pistol is cool, but impractical, but seems like it would make a practical home defense/ truck gun.

I’ve been carrying a Glock 43 with the vickers sights, and the sight is super sharp, pokes into my stomach. I want to round it off, just the rear face at the top edge. How would you re finish the sight after doing a little melt to it?

I’m looking to start acquiring parts to put together a rifle build. Sportsman’s and others have some of cheaper Lowers advertised. Is there any reason I should avoid one of the budget lowers?
